Genius Hour is all about allowing students the freedom to explore their own interests, to indulge in previously unexplored creativity, and to ultimately unlock achievement that’s been stifled by “traditional” learning practices.
This online education course, featuring the same amazing content as Strobel Education’s dynamic live workshop, invites teachers from all grade levels to learn about this innovative concept based on a popular Google practice. The company encourages their workers to devote 20% of their work week to a topic not directly related to their job description. The result: Half of the company’s most valuable ideas come from that 20% of independent work!During this online course, you’ll learn practical ways for setting aside a period of your classroom time for Genius Hour projects and how to easily integrate this time with your curriculum and academic standards. Plus, you’ll be provided with a PDF handout for use during the course—and receive exclusive access to Tribe Tools, digital resources created to help you implement Genius Hour in your classroom.
